Do you want to save videos you make on Snapchat? You can change the default setting so Snaps automatically save to your Memories or Camera Roll. If you want to save other people's Snap videos, you can long-press them in the chat. To do this without them knowing, you'll need to use another device. Here's how to save Snapchat videos on iPhone, iPad, or Android.

  1. Go to your Snapchat profile.
  2. Tap the cog icon.
  3. Tap Memories.
  4. Tap Save Button.
  5. Select Memories & Camera Roll.

  1. The app will open to the camera if you're logged in.
    • You can manually save your Snaps by tapping the down-arrow icon on the edit screen of your Snap. Use this method if you want your Snaps to automatically save to your Memories and/or Camera Roll.
  2. This will open your profile.

  4. This will be under the My Account header.
  5. You can find this under Save Destinations.
  6. If you'd rather have one or the other, select Memories or Camera Roll.

  2. Use Airplane Mode. This method involves turning on Airplane Mode before viewing the Snap, and then turning it off again when you're finished. While viewing it, you can try to record.
    • Keep in mind that this method is risky, and a notification may still be sent.
  3. Try half-swiping. This method is intended for chat messages in Snapchat. If the recipient sent messages after the video, you may be able to guess what the video includes.
