Do you see "Unable to connect to wireless network" or "Not connected to the internet" on your Roku device? If your Roku won't connect to your Wi-Fi network anymore, you may have to adjust some of your router's settings or restart your Roku. Here's what to do if your Roku is not connecting to Wi-Fi.

Tips on Fixing Wi-Fi Issues on Roku

• To fix Roku not connecting to Wi-Fi, restart your router, and then navigate to Settings > Network > Set up connection.
• Make sure your router configuration is set to B/G/N, not just G/N.
• Enable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi if you have an older Roku device.

   Connection issues can be due to software bugs or changed Wi-Fi settings. If your Roku can't connect to your Wi-Fi network, make sure your network is on and stable first. The Roku device may be disconnected from Wi-Fi if any changes were made to the router settings, such as the configuration changing from B/G/N to G/N.

   • Some Roku devices cannot connect to 5 GHz Wi-Fi, so you'll need to make sure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is still active.

   Restart your router. This can fix your internet connection if it's unstable. Before you try to troubleshoot your Roku, confirm your internet is working properly.

   Restart your Roku. This involves going into the Roku's menu. Do the following:

   • Navigate to Settings.
   • Select System.
   • Select Restart system.
   • Once on, navigate to Settings > Network > Set up connection.

   Hard restart your Roku. This involves unplugging the power cord. Do the following:

   • Unplug your Roku's power cord.
   • Unplug your Roku from your TV.
   • Wait 5 minutes.
   • Plug it back in.
   • Once on, navigate to Settings > Network > Set up connection.

   Try using an ethernet cable. If your Roku device has a port for an ethernet cable, try using one for a better connection. If your Roku device connects via ethernet, it could be too far from your router to connect via Wi-Fi.

   • Access your router settings and look for the B/G/N settings. If your router is set to anything other than B/G/N, fix it now.

   Enable 2.4 GHz. If you have both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, make sure 2.4 GHz is still enabled; this is what some Roku models need to connect.

   • You can find this in your router's settings. If you're unable to access these settings, contact your internet provider for help.

   Factory reset the device. If all else fails, you can reset the Roku to its factory settings. Keep in mind this will erase everything on the device, including your apps and login information, so you'll need to set it up again.

   • Select Settings.
   • Select System.
   • Select Advanced system settings.
   • Select Factory reset.
