How to Remove Facial Blemishes on GIMP

GIMP is the great free alternative to Photoshop. You can also get rid of blemishes. Maybe a pimple, mole, or birthmark? Well you could always remove them using GIMP.

Open your image in Gimp.

You can also right-click the image and select Open with and then GIMP.

Select the healing tool.

It's the two yellow bandages crossed over one another.

Press "Ctrl" as you select a clear piece of skin.

Download Article

Release Ctrl after you've clicked clear skin.

Click the blemishes to remove them.

Download Article

After you are done the finished product should look as it looks like in the picture.

Would you say this works better than Proactive and does it come with a free brush?

This is completely different than Proactive as this is a computer program to remove the appearance of blemishes on photos. Proactive actually removes blemishes in real life.
