The Remix feature on Snapchat allows you to react to your friends' Snaps and Stories using your mobile device. You can also react to your own posted Snaps. This works similarly to the Duet feature on TikTok and is a great way to show a video with your reaction simultaneously. You can easily do this by long-pressing on a Snap and tapping "Remix Snap". This wikiHow will show you how to remix Snaps and Stories on the Snapchat app using your iPhone or Android device.

Open the Snap you want to remix.
Tap and hold the Snap.

- Snapchat is available for iOS in the App Store and for Android in the Google Play Store.
- If you're not already logged in, tap Sign in to do so now or create a Snapchat account.
- By default, the camera will be open.

Navigate to the Snap you want to remix. You can tap the Stories tab to remix your or a friend's story, tap the Chat tab to select media from a conversation, or tap the Memories icon to select a saved Snap.
- You can now remix photos and videos in Snapchat.

Tap the Snap. This must be a Snap created by a friend or by yourself.
- The Snap will open in full view.
A pop-up menu will open from the bottom.

Tap Remix Snap. This is towards the bottom of the menu.

- If you don't see this option, see the next section for fixes.

Select your remix type. You can choose different layouts for your remix.
- Smiley face: This will overlay your eyes and mouth over your Snap.
- Rectangle with a horizontal line: The Snap will be on the top half, and your camera will be on the bottom half.
- Rectangle with a vertical line: The Snap will be on the right half and your camera will be on the left half.
- Rectangle with a circle: This will display the Snap in a separate window on top of your camera, similar to the FaceTime layout.
- Person: The Snap will act as a green screen with you in the foreground.

Press and hold the record button. With the remix layout active, you can begin recording your reaction to the Snap.
- Release the button when you're finished recording. You'll be taken to the editing page.
Edit your Snap. You can add stickers, filters, text, and more.

Send or save your Snap. To save your Snap, tap the download icon (arrow pointing down above a line). To send your Snap, tap Send To to select a friend or group chat.
- To upload the remixed Snap to your Story, tap the Stories button.

Why can't I remix Snaps on Snapchat? If you can't remix a certain Snap, you may not have permission to do so. You can only remix your or a friend's Snaps. You may also be able to remix a Snap on Spotlight.

Why can't I remix a snap on Snapchat? If you don't see the option to remix a Snap, you may be running an older version of Snapchat. Make sure the app is updated to the latest version by going to the App Store or Google Play Store.

How do I use a sticker on Snapchat? If you want to add a sticker to your Snap, just tap the sticker icon on the right side of the editing page. Select the kind of sticker you want to use. Tap and drag it to the desired location.
- You can even pin the sticker to a moving subject on a video Snap. Tap and hold the sticker, and then drag it to where you want it pinned. Tap Pin to Snap.
- If you want to create your own sticker, tap the scissors icon on the right side of the editing page. Use your finger to outline the object. The new sticker will be added to your sticker drawer.

Can a person see when you remix their Snap? Snapchat does not notify users when you remix a Snap like they do when you take a screenshot. If you take a screenshot of their Snap while making your remix, the person will be notified.
