Generally, when you have something to say or ask while you're in a large group, you raise your hand. This wikiHow will show you how to raise your hand in Zoom using the Windows and Mac desktop application, the web client, or the mobile app.
How to Raise Hand in Zoom
When you're in a Zoom meeting, click on the Reactions button in the meeting controls and select Raise Hand. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Y or Option + Y to raise your hand. Click Lower Hand when you don't need to speak anymore.

- Without notifying or disrupting the entire meeting, you'll notify the host that you have a question or comment.
- You can also use the keyboard shortcut, which is Alt + 'Y for Windows and Opt + Y for Mac. Click Lower Hand to signal that you don't have a question or comment.[1]
