There is no way to measure that precisely, but there are likely hundreds of homeless people who do not have enough blankets in your community alone.

    Community Answer
    Community Answer
Use a cardboard box and to fill it with whatever. Then cover it from top to bottom with a waterproof tarp. You can buy cardboard boxes for cheap or find one discarded. If you can't find a waterproof tarp, you can use old coats that don't keep you warm but can still keep things dry.

Seek help from a local doctor. Persuade them that you need help, or seek help from somewhere else that can help you nearby.

How do I eat without money and without begging if I'm homeless?

You can dumpster dive. I use to work for a supermarket, and it’s ridiculous the amount of perfectly good things that get thrown away just because the date on the packaging is over by a day. If you'd be willing to work (do odd jobs and the like), you might be able to trade labor for food and shelter. See if there are any farms in your area - some farmers need all the help they can get and would gladly trade some work from you for room and board. It’s not begging if it benefits you both. Plenty of people do it. Look into WWOOF.

How do I survive cold winter nights if I have a chronic illness?
    Community Answer
    Community Answer
Make sure to line up early for space to stay in a local homeless shelter. If you cannot manage to find any space, try finding a tent or sleeping bag. Get boots that cover your feet, ankles, and, if possible, part of your legs. Wear multiple pairs of socks and shirts and pants. Get very warm coats and jackets to sleep in. If you have asthma, make sure to always have your inhaler on you. Keep trying to find warm places to sleep, this is a must if you are chronically ill.
