Open the Facebook mobile app. You can only add music to stories using the mobile app. This feature is not available in a desktop browser. You can download the Facebook app for free from the Google Play Store on Android or the App Store on iPhone and iPad.

Tap the "What's on your mind" text field. Doing this will open a "Create Post" window.Advertisement

Tap Music. It's next to an orange icon of music notes at the bottom of the menu.
- You'll see a list of suggested songs, but you can also perform a search to find another song.
- Not every song will be available. If Meta no longer has the rights to a song that it used to have, the song will be muted.

Tap a song to select it. The song's album cover will be shown in the main body of the post. Leave this blank or tap Add Media to change the image.
- Click the play icon to preview the song.

Edit the post if you want to. You can add text to the post, change the audience, the album it's included in, enable or disable cross-posting, tagging, and adjust the AI label.

Tap Post. This posts the photo with music to your Facebook feed. Others can listen by tapping the play icon in the lower right corner of the album cover.
- People using a computer will be prompted to use the Facebook app for Android, iPhone, or iPad to listen to the song.

Open the Facebook app. You can use the mobile app available for free from the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play Store (Android).

Tap + Create Story. It's in a Story preview at the top of your feed.

Tap Music. You'll see music notes at the top of your screen.

Tap a song to select it. The song will begin playing as a preview. You can add an image from your camera roll or use a plain background.

- Click the X to close the "Background" window and see a preview of your Story.

Edit the song if you want to. Tap the circular icon of the song's composer or singer to open a timeline of the song. You can drag either end of the sliders to change what part of the song plays.
- Tap a star on the timeline to quickly change the selected part of the song to another popular section.
- Add stickers, text, and more to personalize your Story.

Tap Share (Android) or Share to story (iOS). This will share the musical Story on Facebook (and Instagram if you have cross-post enabled).[1]
