Connect your BMW to Bluetooth with this guide

If you purchased a 2006-2009 BMW 3 Series with the Premium Package, you have Bluetooth. Programming your Bluetooth phone with the Car is a fairly simple process, involving simple steps. This is how to do it.

  2. It will tell you that no phone is currently paired with the System. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and select PAIR.
  3. Your BMW has an 8-character ID number, starting with BMW, and ending with the last 5 digits of your VIN. (ex. BMW11111). Select this.
  4. When your Bluetooth phone is successfully paired to your BMW, your entire phonebook will be uploaded to it, and you may access it at any time.

  • In some (rare) cases, the process is reversed, and you enter the password on your BMW's radio first, and then on your Bluetooth-enabled phone.
