Film and Video Director and Branded Content CreatorI think the best way to pick a movie is to consider the mood or theme of the night. Is it Halloween? Then let's go with a classic haunted house film. Is it Christmas? Something heartwarming. Or is it just a regular Friday night? That's where I try to be more strategic. I'll ask my friends for their top three favorite movies. That gives me a good idea of their taste. If they mention introspective Russian cinema, I know I can suggest a more layered psychological film. But if they're more into something like 'Top Gun' or 'Mean Girls,' my suggestions would be totally different. It's about finding that common ground and making sure everyone has a good time!

Tips
-
Every hangout is more fun when there's a theme—so why not center your movie night around the flick you're going to watch? For instance, have your guests come in fantastical costume for a Labyrinth or Princess Bride viewing, or serve a Julia Child recipe for a Julie & Julia night. Thanks
