Idle Breakout is a browser-based game based on the classic Atari/Arcade game Breakout. In the Idle version of the game, you break blocks to earn money, which you can use to unlock more balls, upgrades, and power-ups to power through increasingly difficult levels. However, if you’re feeling impatient and don’t want to idle for too long, you can use cheat codes to speed up your progress, skip levels, gain power-ups, and even gain infinite money and skill points.    Click the gear icon. It’s in the upper-right corner. This opens the Settings menu.

   Back up your game. Using cheat codes will overwrite with your game progress and allow you to skip levels. To back up your original game, click Export. Then, copy the export code and paste it into a text file (such as a NotePad or TextEdit file). Save the file to finish creating your backup.

   Ensure you are playing the game at the correct website. The best website to play at is idle-breakout.neocities.org. While testing, we found that the game would go black when using cheat codes on other websites. The import/export function on these sites was very buggy in general.

   Do not add any spaces to the code. If you copy the code with any spaces before or after the code, it will not work.

   Make sure you have cookies enabled. Idle Breakout saves your game progress automatically using the cookies in your browser. If you do not enable cookies, your game progress will not be saved.

   Be sure to save a backup code of your original game. Entering cheat codes will overwrite your game progress. If you want to return to your original game, you will need to save a copy of your game code. You can do so in the Settings menu.

   • To save your game to your computer, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner and click Export. Copy the code and save it to a text file.

   Be careful of lag. Some of these cheat codes will place hundreds of fast-moving balls into the game. If you have a slower computer, you may experience lag when using these codes.
