How to Sign Up for Spotify Premium

Sign up for Spotify Premium at spotify.com/us/premium.
Create or log into your Spotify account and choose your Premium plan.
Follow the on-screen prompts to input your address and billing information.
The Individual Plan is $11.99/month, the Student Plan is $5.99/month, the Duo Plan is $16.99/month, and the Family Plan is $19.99/month.

Go to https://www.spotify.com/us/premium in your web browser. This will open the Spotify Premium page. Make sure you log in to the correct account if you already have one set up.
- Unfortunately, you can’t get Spotify Premium through the app at this time. If you're using an iPhone, iPad, or Android, you can still upgrade Spotify to Premium using your phone or tablet's web browser.
- If you don't already have a Spotify account, go ahead and create one at https://spotify.com/signup.

Click the GET STARTED button on the page for your one-month free trial. It’s a pink oval button near the top left-hand side of the screen, under the banner that says, “Listen without limits. Try 1 month of Premium Individual for $0.”^{[1]

Pick which plan you’d like to subscribe to. There are 4 types of Spotify Premium plans: Individual, Student, Duo, and Family. - Student ($5.99/month) - This is one Premium plan for students enrolled in an accredited college or university. It comes with ad-free listening, offline streaming, on-demand playback, and a Hulu (with ads) plan.^{[3]

- Duo ($16.99/month) - Allows you to link Spotify Premium to 2 accounts and offers the same features as the Individual plan.
- Family ($19.99/month) - Connect up to 6 Premium or Kids accounts and get the ability to block explicit content. It also comes with 15 hours/month of listening time from Spotify’s audiobooks subscriber catalog.
Fill out your street, town/city, state, and zip code, then click “Save Address.” The tax for your monthly Premium subscription is based on your address, so make sure it matches the billing address on your card.

Select a payment method and input your details. Choose to pay with a credit card, debit card, or PayPal. In the labeled fields, type in your card’s number, expiration date, and security code. If you’re using PayPal, click “Complete purchase” at the bottom of the screen to be redirected to a new page; from there, you can sign into your PayPal account and authorize monthly payments to Spotify.
- Depending on your region, your payment options may change. However, most regions will allow you to pay with a debit card, credit card, or PayPal.

Click START MY SPOTIFY PREMIUM to begin Premium. If you're eligible, your one-month free trial will start straight away. Otherwise, you'll be charged the monthly price, and your account will be upgraded to Premium.
- You'll be charged every 30 days until you cancel your subscription.

There is no way to get Spotify Premium for free. All those websites claiming that they will generate codes for you if you download a .exe will typically end up with your computer getting malware.

I already purchased Spotify Premium but it isn't showing up on my account, what should I do?

Check your subscription page -- your status should be Premium. If you're on Premium, try signing out and back into the app. If it says Free, check the receipt the company emailed you Make sure that you're signing in with the username on that receipt. If the username on your receipt is a 10-digit number, sign in with your Facebook login details. It is also possible that you have two accounts, so that's something to check further too. If this fails to help, contact the company.
