Discord's stream-hosting services offer a great platform for sharing or playing music, aided by their customizability with bots and plugins. This wikiHow shows you how to install a music bot on your Discord server.
Adding a Discord Music Bot
To add a Discord music bot, you can search for one online or use Discord's app discovery page. When you pick out a bot, click the button to add it to your server, choose the server, and then click the Authorize button.
Steps
Adding a Bot via the Internet
-
Open Discord. If you have the app installed on your desktop, just click on its icon (blue/purple with a white controller in it). If you don't have the app, open the Discord website (discordapp.com) and log in.
-
Open your browser and search for a music bot. If you know what bot you want to add, you can just search that bot's name, and its website should pop up. Otherwise, go to top.gg/tag/music and browse for a music bot that appeals to you.

- If you want a music bot in a server that you don't have permissions in, you can always ask the server owner if they could add a music bot.
-
Click Continue > Authorize. You'll now be able to use the music bot in your Discord.
- If you don't know how to use the bot you just added, refer to the bot's documentation. Each bot will have different controls.
- You may have to complete a CAPTCHA to add the bot to your server.
