Are you trying to make wood stakes in Animal Crossing? These Log Stakes are an early recipe given by Tom Nook, but you can also get it from a Smug villager. You'll just need three regular wood to craft it and a Customization Kit if you want to change its color. Obtain the Log Stakes recipe. You can get the recipe from Tom Nook in the early stages of the game, or from Smug-type villagers at random.^{[1]

- To check if you have the recipe, open the NookPhone and select DIY Recipes+. This is the same section you can view recipes you can cook. The Log Stakes will be in the Housewares section and have a brown card background.

The Log Stakes is an item that is made from crafting three (3) wood. You'll need regular wood, not hardwood or softwood. Use an axe to chop down any tree (except bamboo) to find wood.

Use a workbench to craft. If you don't already have a workbench, you can use Tom Nook's workbench inside of Resident Services. Once crafted, you can customize it or place it on your island. Don't forget you can use the Terraforming app to reshape your island as needed.
- When you interact with a workbench, select Let's craft!
- Find the Log Stakes recipe card.
- Select Craft it!
- Select Let's do it!

Customize the Log Stakes (optional). You must have a Customization kit, which is available for purchase at Nook's Cranny. Currently, the Log Stakes has four variations: dark wood (default), orange wood, white wood, and white birch. By customizing items to your exact tastes, you're working towards your own perfect island.
- When you interact with a workbench, select Customize something.
- Select the Log Stakes in your inventory.
- Select a variation.
- Select Customize!
