Even though HUNTR/X makes catchy music in KPop Demon Hunters, they are not a real group outside of the movie. The director, Maggie Kang, notes that she took inspiration and mixed together traits from other K-pop girl groups, such as ITZY, BLACKPINK, and TWICE, when she was creating the characters. Outside of K-pop, she mentions the characters were also inspired by fashion models like Ahn So Yeon.

It's not a real band per se, but they are crushing it. HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys are crushing it on Spotify (and every platform). The singers, however, are either former members or current members of K-pop bands in Korea. They collaborated with K-pop group TWICE to write a lot of the music, so it's inspired, in a way, by them. But HUNTR/X is not real, and I think it's even better that way.
