Definitions and labels are changing all the time. At the end of the day, it’s up to you, the individual, to decide if you’d prefer to identify as bisexual or pansexual. If you're confused, one approach is to seek out information—there are fantastic websites and creators on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube who talk about this. Talking to friends, family, a counselor, or therapist can also help. At the same time, keep in mind that too much information can be overwhelming. You might still feel confused, and that’s okay.
The most important thing is to stay curious. Don’t overthink it. You might be bisexual, you might be pansexual—just give yourself time to see what feels right. Also, remember that for young people, sexuality is still developing. Some people discover they're bi, gay, or pan in their 20s, 30s, 40s—or even later. I was chatting with a trans woman at the hairdresser recently—she only came out in her late 50s. Some people need more time. It’s okay not to have a label right away. Social media can make people feel pressured to define themselves because “everyone else knows who they are.” But it’s really okay not to rush it.

It's okay to be confused about your sexuality. Sexuality is very fluid, so it's not always black and white. Take time to explore your attractions and consider how you feel in those situations to figure out what's right for you.

If you’re trying to figure out your sexuality, take time to explore it on your own terms and be patient with yourself. Don’t pressure yourself to choose a label if that doesn't feel right for you. Try connecting with other members of the LGBTQ+ community for support, validation, and answers to any questions you might have.
It’s also helpful to do some research on different identities within the queer community. For example, “bisexual” means attraction to more than one gender, while “pansexual” means attraction to people regardless of gender. In other words, pansexual people don’t take gender into account in dating, which means they can fall in love with someone of any gender. Understanding the disctinctions between different queer identities may help you figure out which one you relate to the most.

Pan is being attracted to someone regardless of gender, while being bi is liking more than one gender

Pansexual is an identity under the bisexual umbrella. You can identify as bisexual or pansexual, whichever label you personally like more. I am bisexual but experience attraction to everybody, which technically could be pan, but I like bi better.

Sooo what is the difference between omnisexual and pansexual? Cause I know what bisexual is and I for the longest time thought I was bisexual but it didn’t feel right because I don’t date people because of there gender or just two genders i date them because of their personality regardless of gender..if that makes sense..so I’m so confused right now hehe help please..
