  • Draw lightly in pencil so that you can easily rub out mistakes.
  • Do not use a dark sketching pencil until after the final step to outline the book.
  • Books come in many shapes and sizes, and this is only the most basic way to draw one. Try altering some of the steps to come up with the image you have in your mind, and sketch until you’re satisfied with what’s on your paper. Look at your bookshelf or go to the library for ideas.
