Gumtree.com is the #1 classifieds site in the UK. You need to create an account to be able to post an ad or respond to ads, but what do you do when you no longer want your account? Fortunately, deleting a Gumtree account is quite easy. This wikiHow will teach you how to delete your Gumtree account online.

Things You Should Know

You can only delete your Gumtree account from a web browser, not through the mobile app.
Navigate to My Details and select Deactivate your account under the "Account" section.
You can reuse the same account info to re-register at any time.

Log in to https://gumtree.com. You can use the mobile or desktop web browser to deactivate your Gumtree account.
- While Gumtree does offer a mobile app in certain territories, the app does not allow you to delete your account. Be sure to log in through a web browser to do so.
A menu will then drop down.

You'll see this near the bottom of the drop-down menu.
You'll find this under the "Account" header at the bottom of the page that opens.

Select a reason and click Deactivate. You can click to change the reason you're deleting your account if you need to, but you can only pick one reason. The process to deactivate your account will start immediately and you'll get an email confirmation that you have opted to deactivate the account.^{[1]
