Get rid of unwanted friend requests on Facebook

If you have a Facebook friend request you regret sending, or if you have a few from strangers you don't want to add, you can easily undo it. You'll just need to head into your Friends settings. Here's how to cancel a friend request on Facebook using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

  2. Tap Friends.
  3. Tap Friend requests.
  4. Tap •••.
  5. Tap View sent requests.
  6. Tap Undo or CANCEL.

    • The friend request will be canceled.

    • Tap Delete next to the request.
    • If you get a lot of unwanted requests from the same person, you can also block them.

  1. Go to https://www.facebook.com in a web browser. If you're not already logged in, enter your email address and password to do so now.
  2. This is the Friends tab. You can find this at the top of your feed.
  3. You can find this in the left panel.
  4. This will be underneath the Friend Requests header.
  5. You'll see this next to the person you sent the request to.
    • The friend request will be canceled.[1]
  6. If you want to delete a friend request that was sent to you instead, do the following:
    • Click the two-person icon on your home page.
    • Click Friend Requests.
    • Click Delete or Delete Request.[2]
