How can I have faith if I haven't seen Jesus?
So for Christians today, faith is not blind belief but stems from substantial testimony, historical evidence, and philosophical reasoning. Although we may not have seen Jesus as Peter, James, and John did, we have enough evidence to conclude that the Bible's claims are credible. This just means that the Bible's assertions can be both verified and falsified, but we can examine historical records, use reason and logic, and scrutinize the evidence. My faith stems from my personal relationship with God and the ability to investigate and confirm biblical truths. Through historical examination and personal experience, I find confidence in my beliefs. Faith is not just a feeling but a reasoned trust based on evidence and a personal relationship with God.
Is God's judgment vengeance?
People might call it vengeance, but this perspective overlooks the true nature of God's actions. When God judges, He is enforcing justice on His creations who have defied His purpose for them. As an example, the Canaanites and Semites in the Old Testament engaged in defying practices, warranting God's judgment. This judgment is not an act of personal retribution but a fulfillment of divine justice. Remember that God's actions are driven by His righteousness and the need to uphold moral order, not by a desire for revenge.
What kind of degree should I take to become a Missionary?
You typically need a bachelor's degree in missionary studies and a master's degree in divinity or another theological field. Advanced education equips you with a deep understanding of religious teachings, scriptural knowledge, and practical ministry skills, which are all essential for ministry and missionary work.
